UNDRR Publications

We produce a range of publications by collecting and analysing risk data through a range of tools, knowledge products, and mobilising like-minded partners.

This methodology, developed by UNDRR and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), aims to support countries in assessing the current state of infrastructure resilience, so that areas of improvement are identified, and actions taken.
This report examines significant and specific gaps in long-running disaster impact data sets which skew our knowledge about global patterns and trends.
This report examines three interconnected risk drivers for Europe and Central Asia: climate change and environmental degradation; interconnected economies, societies and infrastructure; and changing demographics.
The work programme 2024–2025 presents UNDRR’s planned actions to achieve the objectives of its Strategic Framework 2022-2025.

The report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 77/29, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to continue to improve the international response to natural disasters.
This report examines the financial protocols of five multilateral and non-governmental AA financing mechanisms (AA funds) that finance anticipatory interventions.
This paper by the G20 Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Working Group outlines the approaches of increasing the application of ecosystem-based approaches to DRR.
This report aims to reinforce the foundations of gender responsive approaches to disaster risk by examining the connection between women’s international human rights and disaster risk reduction.
This is a study on the degree of coherence between national policies and plans focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), DRR and CCA in the Caribbean Region.
The study report contributes to a continued call for more and better DRR financing in humanitarian and crisis contexts. Ensuring effective DRR financing in humanitarian and crisis settings should be of significant concern for all actors.
