About

The 6th Arab Regional Platform "Building Resilient Arab Communities: From Understanding to Action" will take place from 28 to 31 October 2024 in Kuwait City and is hosted by State of Kuwait. The platform will be preceded by 11th Arab Partnership meeting on 27 October 2024 and pre-conference and side events on 28 October 2024.

The Regional Platform will result in a political declaration reflecting the commitment of Arab countries to speed up the implementation of the Sendai Framework and the Arab Strategy (Kuwait Declaration for Disaster Risk Reduction).

The outcomes of the Arab Regional Platform for DRR and Kuwait Declaration will inform the 2025 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York and the 2025 Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (2-6 June 2025, Geneva, Switzerland).
