Five Central Asian nations – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – reaffirmed their commitment to safe and resilient schools for children this week – with four endorsing the Comprehensive Safe Schools Framework.

A two-day workshop on comprehensive disaster risk management was held in Yemen aimed to enhance Yemen’s capacity to manage disaster risks, in alignment with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.

UNDRR ROAS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment in Iraq, FAO, WFP, and IOM organized a significant workshop titled "Building Resilience: Anticipatory Action Planning for Disaster Risk Reduction in Iraq."

The Sixth Session of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction, organized by the League of Arab States, took place in Cairo, bringing together Arab member states and key stakeholders.
