National Workshop for Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy: Integrating Climate Futures into Multi-sectoral inclusive DRR planning in Maldives

Despite scarce resources, major strategies have been implemented individually in different countries to improve school preparedness, resilience, response and recovery.

The training will include presentations from the following Resilience Hubs and topics.

Organized by UNDRR in collaboration with UNDP, UN-Habitat & GIZ, this session provides insights on various approaches that cities can take for developing a risk-based decision-making process that helps make urban development sustainable and resilient.

This session aims to showcase how cities and partners are working together under the framework of the Making Cities Resilient 2030 initiative to create solutions and share these practices with peer cities.

Taking place on 27 June, 17:30-18:45 PM, this side event at the UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon will showcase leading efforts on reducing tsunami risk as a key contribution to UN Ocean Decade and scaling up action on ocean science and innovation.
