Early warning and early action in Fiji
This publication showcases how Fiji is advancing early warning and early action to protect lives and livelihoods from increasing climate and disaster risks. It presents Fiji’s Early Warnings for All (EW4All) Roadmap—a national plan to strengthen disaster risk knowledge, forecasting, communication, and preparedness—and highlights its integration with initiatives such as Weather Ready Pacific and the Anticipatory Action Framework for Tropical Cyclones. The report explores Fiji’s efforts to build inclusive, people-centered systems that combine traditional knowledge, science, and technology to ensure no one is left behind. It also outlines next steps for coordination, capacity building, and sustainable financing to enhance Fiji’s resilience and regional leadership in disaster preparedness.
