Parliamentarians are uniquely positioned to translate international disaster risk reduction (DRR) commitments into national action through legislation, oversight, budgeting, representation, and advocacy. The UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) works with parliamentary networks such as CVF Global Parliamentary Group, GLOBE Legislators, Inter-Parliamentary Union, ParlAmericas, Parlatino and SADC Parliamentary Forum. Together, the partners have developed guidance (IPU-UNDRR Parliamentarian Toolkit, ParlAmericas - UNDRR parliamentary protocol), delivered dialogues and other activities focused on integrating and implementing DRR in national policy, legal, financial, and oversight frameworks.

This 5-minute survey will assist us in understanding how parliamentarians are advancing the disaster risk reduction action agenda and how parliamentary engagement could be further enhanced. Questions marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory; others are optional for you to respond. Please submit your response by 30 January 2026.
