Suriname's development framework, as outlined in the National Development Plan 2017-2021, underscores the country's commitment to disaster risk management and climate change action.

This innovative tool allows for the identification of gaps and opportunities, the definition of priority actions, and the promotion of community participation in integrating specific measures into territorial planning instruments.
