Egypt: Disaster Awareness and General Safety for Children training

Under the overall umbrella of the 'Week of volunteerism" to observe the International Volunteer Day (IVD), the NGO Ahmose, in coordination with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Programme in Egypt and UNISDR Arab States, organized an awareness campaign at Al-Khabiri Primary School in Cairo to cover the basics of Disaster Awareness and General Safety for Children. During the event, several classes were targeted and disaster risk reduction educational material was distributed among the students. The event also covered instructions on the use and context of first aid kits material.
