Asia-Pacific Partnership for Disaster Risk Reduction (APP-DRR) Forum
Virtual and by invitation.
- English
The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific is convening the next Asia-Pacific Partnership for Disaster Risk Reduction (APP-DRR) Forum, scheduled to be held virtually on 1-2 December 2020.
The APP-DRR (formerly, ISDR-Asia Partnership – IAP) is a multi-stakeholder forum that includes governments, regional inter-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, UN and international organizations and donors. It serves to monitor and support the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 and the associated Asia Regional Plan and sub-regional plans.
The APP-DRR Forum will identify key areas of priority action that will form inputs to the next Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR). Collectively, the APP-DRR and APMCDRR form the regional platforms for disaster risk reduction in the Asia-Pacific region.
