Twenty-third session of the Africa Working Group for Disaster Risk Reduction

This outcome document summarises the main achievements of the 23rd Africa Working Group on Disaster Risk Reduction, held from 11 to 13 November 2025 in Victoria Falls. The twenty-third session of the Africa Working Group on Disaster Risk Reduction was held from 11 to 13 November 2025 in Victoria Falls under the theme “Moving from commitments to action: delivering on the Windhoek Declaration and the Africa Common Position to the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025”.

The meeting was attended by 87 participants, including 23 online, who were drawn from member organisations of the Working Group and other invited stakeholder entities, including Regional Economic Communities (RECs), Member States, United Nations entities, civil society organisations, and organisations of persons with disabilities.
