Malawi Sendai Framework Monitor Orientation and Training Workshop

UNDRR launched the online Sendai Framework Monitor system (SFM) in March 2018. The SFM is an accountability tool to assist countries in monitoring, assessing and evaluating progress and challenges in the implementation of disaster risk reduction (DRR) at the global, national, sub-national and local levels.

This training will support Malawi in its efforts to meet the reporting milestones to contribute to the global assessment on DRR trends and to report on SDGs. Sendai Framework Monitor, complementary to disaster loss databases, is a tool useful for countries to track their progress in DRR and resilience building and enhance risk-informed policy making.
