Corporate Chief Resilience Officers turn collective expertise into action in London

CcroMeetingLondon2026
UNDRR

London, United Kingdom, 6–7 October 2026. The UNDRR-convened Corporate Chief Resilience Officers (CCRO) network met in London to translate the network’s collective expertise into practical action, with clearer responsibilities and measurable outcomes for 2027.

Held on the sidelines of the Resilience World Nexus Summit and hosted by Group Resilience, the meeting brought together CCRO Network members. It aimed to decide where the CCRO network will concentrate its efforts in 2027 and who will deliver. Members confirmed nine workstreams across three portfolios, each with a named owner, and formally parked others ideas until capacity allows.

Clearer ownership, stronger accountability

Ground rules kept the discussion practical. No workstream entered the 2027 roadmap without a member owner committed to it. The approach emphasised clear ownership, tangible milestones, target dates and expected outcomes. Members were expected to take responsibility for a primary workstream and contribute the expertise, access, resources or implementation support needed to advance it.

Every decision was recorded into the network’s strategy execution tracker providing a shared record of commitments and progress.

Three portfolios to drive collective action

The CCRO network’s work is structured around three portfolios, providing a framework for members to focus their contributions and turn strategic objectives into tangible results:

  • People & Impact: where the CCRO network creates value through people, organizations and ecosystems. Six workstreams were confirmed, including a plan to grow the Resilience Maturity Assessment (ReMA).
  • Governance: how the network makes decisions, sets priorities, mobilizes resources and sustains delivery. Three workstreams were confirmed, including growing partnerships, with advanced conversations under way with Chambers of Commerce.
  • Technology: what allows the CCRO network and its partners to deliver and scale impact. Three workstreams were agreed, including the Dependencies Observatory, a member-produced quarterly outlook on emerging risks and cascading effects.

Looking ahead

UNDRR will continue to convene the CCRO network and provide the platform for collaboration, while members lead implementation and demonstrate results. Next milestones include confirming pilot locations and partners, agreeing content and product roadmaps, and setting measures of impact.
