The Global Disaster-Related Statistics Framework (G-DRSF), endorsed by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2026, provides a common framework for producing and using disaster-related statistics and strengthening coordination among national statistical offices, disaster management agencies, geospatial institutions and other relevant stakeholders.

Organized by UNDRR, ESCAP and SPC, this webinar will introduce the G-DRSF and explore its practical relevance for Pacific countries. It will bring together regional partners and country representatives to share experiences, data challenges and priorities, and discuss how the framework can support national statistical systems, disaster risk reduction, loss and damage tracking, Sendai Framework Monitoring and risk-informed development planning.

The webinar will include presentations, a Pacific country panel and an interactive Q&A session. It will also highlight opportunities for regional collaboration, capacity development and engagement in the Sixth Global Expert Forum for Producers and Users of Disaster-related Statistics.
