Analytical Estimate of Damages Caused by the June 24, 2026 Earthquakes in Venezuela
This document constitutes a first estimate of the direct physical damage, obtained through analytical modeling, of the effects caused by the earthquakes of June 24, 2026 in Venezuela. Its main purpose is to establish in a timely manner, an order of magnitude, technically supported, of the impact on buildings and infrastructure, however, it does not seek to provide a definitive quantification of the damages.
It is worth highlighting that the understanding of the impact of a disaster evolves as new information becomes available. Consequently, this assessment represents a first technical diagnosis, which can be progressively refined by incorporating information from field inspections, analysis of satellite images, official reports and models with higher resolution.
