UNDRR Regional Office for Africa Quarterly Newsletter (Jan-Mar 2026)

The first quarter of 2026 has brought significant momentum for disaster risk reduction across Africa. This edition of our newsletter highlights study tours that fostered knowledge exchange between countries, the recognition of a new MCR2030 Resilience Hub, commitments that advanced the Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative, and the launch of new roadmaps to strengthen multi-hazard early warning systems. This quarter also featured high-level visits from Kamal Kishore, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General (SRSG) for Disaster Risk Reduction, to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi.
