UNDRR Regional Office for Africa Quarterly Newsletter (Apr-Jun 2026)

In this edition of our quarterly newsletter, UNDRR’s Regional Office for Africa highlights collaborative efforts to strengthen inclusive early warning systems in both Mauritius and Burundi. We also spotlight the launch of Kenya's national Disaster Risk Financing Strategy 2026–2030, and the development of Quelimane’s local-level DRR action plan. The key outcomes from the 24th Africa Working Group on Disaster Risk Reduction have been published, as well as a new methodology to develop impact-based early warning systems that translate weather forecasts into actionable risk information in East Africa.
