UNDRR ONEA & GETI Newsletter 50: Apr-Jun 2026
In the second quarter of 2026, UNDRR ONEA-GETI has significantly expanded global disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate resilience capacities through a series of high-impact training of trainers (ToT) workshops, multi-agency certificate programmes, and localized tools. Key achievements include driving inclusive, whole-of-society resilience approaches by delivering disability-inclusive training in Mongolia, supporting gender-responsive programming for UNICEF India, and engaging over 3,000 global participants through the joint UNDRR-UNOSSC-PAHO-UNTB certificate programme. Furthermore, ONEA-GETI successfully advanced extreme heat risk governance and urban planning by introducing specialized scorecard addenda in vulnerable areas like Makati City, boosted global disaster data tracking systems with the new DELTA Resilience platform, and strengthened national safety frameworks through tailored KSSP training for school teachers and private safety instructors in South Korea.
