Advisory Panel Joint Statement of the Early Warnings for All Initiative and Priority Actions
This Joint Statement calls for accelerated, coordinated action to ensure that everyone on Earth is protected by lifesaving multi-hazard early warning systems. Endorsed at the fifth meeting of the Advisory Panel of the Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative, the Statement sets out priority actions to strengthen implementation, secure sustainability beyond 2027, and inform global policy and financing discussions in the lead-up to COP30 in Belém.
The Advisory Panel reaffirmed its shared commitment to scale and sustain early warning systems, which are proven, cost-effective tools that save lives and livelihoods. They outlined four key priority areas for action:
- Advance data-driven, user‑tailored, people‑centred early warning systems.
- Reinvigorate multilateralism and partnerships.
- Scale and sustain financing.
- Harness technology, innovation and the private sector.
