Over 50 experts participated in a workshop on assessing the impact of slow-onset events, organized in Bonn on 8 - 9 November 2023. More than 100 participants joined online. This effort is co-led by UNDRR with UNDP and WMO.

UNDRR and CAF have developed tools such as the "Multi-Hazard Climate Risk Analysis" and the "Scorecard: Climate Resilience Addendum." These tools aim to provide local governments with rapid assessment tools to evaluate climate change risks.

The workshop was held as part of the celebration of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (13 October), whose 2023 edition aimed to promote the fight against inequality through disaster resilience.
