MCR2030’s short video contest 'Voices of the Community - Getting Ready for a Resilient Future in the Americas and the Caribbean', gives local voices a platform to tell a story, share ideas, practices, and experiences of their communities related to disaster risk reduction and resilience. The contest emphasizes the ability of local communities to reduce their disaster risks, their efforts to build resilient cities and highlights potential pathways for effective partnerships.

Through the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Women for Disaster Risk Reduction, women and girls will come together to share experiences, ideas and innovative and transformative solutions to the challenges posed by disaster risk.

Municipal officials working in urban development and planning, environmental management, civil defense, health, social affairs, among others, now have another way to discover and master the tools of the Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR2030) initiative

On September 9th, MCR2030 had its FIRST INPPERSON CAPACITY BUILDING in the Americas and the Caribbean! The forum is a preparatory event for the VII Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean from November 1 to 4 and was introduced by the Government of Jamaica as the host of the platform.
