Climate and disaster risk are intrinsically linked across Africa, including in Tanzania and Madagascar, which recently carried out Capacity for Disaster Reduction Initiative (CADRI) country diagnoses.

MCR2030 Resilience Hubs, namely Incheon, Makati and Mexico City, held the webinar, “Learning from Our MCR Hubs” to share experiences, best practices and recommendations on strengthening disaster resilience in their respective cities on 8 November 2022.

Sharm El-Sheikh, 12 November 2022, UNDRR ROAS, Sharm El-Sheikh city, and the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) in Egypt, celebrated the declaration of Sharm El-Sheikh as a Resilience Hub within MCR2030, in a side event organized at the COP27.
