Regional Consultations for Central Asia and South Caucasus on the Post-2015 Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (HFA2)

The regional consultations for the Central Asia and South Caucasus countries were held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 01-02 April 2014. The Governments of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan along with disaster risk reduction experts from other stakeholders attended the two-day consultations on a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction to be considered at  the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and its Preparatory Committee meetings.

Outcomes:

1. A consultation summary report that includes input of the Central Asia and South Caucasus countries for the post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction.

2. Statements of commitment from the governments and stakeholders for the post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction
