5th Meeting of the MENA DRR Network

The meeting, held back to back with the MENA meeting of humanitarian actors, will serve to update on progress towards adoption of the post-2015 framework for DRR at the Third World Conference on DRR (Sendai, 14-18 March 2015). It will permit to fine-tune preparations and agency contribution to the 2nd Arab Conference on DRR (Sharm-el-Sheikh, 14-16 September 2014). Additionally, a consultation on preparedness in the post-HFA framework will be facilitated by OCHA. IFRC will provide details on recent major initiatives it has run in MENA region.
