Asia Pacific Science and Technology Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction 2022 will be held 7-8 April, and will be hosted by the Government of the Philippines, UNDRR, Asia-Pacific Science and Techincal Advisory Group (AP-STAG), and ARISE Philippines.

‘The Asia-Pacific Heatwaves Risk Dialogue’ will present some of the key findings and recommendations from the UNDRR report, Heatwaves: addressing a sweltering risk in the Asia Pacific.

This side event will take place on 4 April 2022 and will examine how cities are building resilience to the impacts of COVID-19, especially socio-economic impacts, as well as climate change.

The UNDRR Regional Office will organize a session on Comprehensive Risk Management: The How-To in Achieving Coherence at the Middle East and North Africa Climate Week in Dubai

The webinar ‘How to solve the systemic risk puzzle - From technological innovations and non-traditional data sources to indigenous knowledge’ features authors from the 2022 edition of the UN Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction.

UNDRR will organize a National workshop on the Global risk assessment framework -Strengthening Methods for Risk Analysis & Risk data governance in Sudan, in partnership with the National Council of Civil Defence, the Government of Sudan.

This side events aims at contributing to these reflections by hearing the views of different stakeholders from the disaster risk reduction and the sustainable development arena.
