The webinar, organized by UNDRR focuses on how Brazil, Colombia, and Jamaica have provided a lead in urban resilience strategies; and will outline how these national governments have supported action on the ground led by sub-national authorities.

Over the last two years, the UN Open House in Bonn, organized in conjunction with the sessions of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Bodies, has gained recognition as an interactive event to disseminate the activities and work of the UN agencies based in Bonn.

The expected output of the workshop is a set of concrete peer-reviewed and validated recommendations packaged on a more detailed roadmap for the iterative development of the Disaster Tracking system.

This is a side-event at the Fourth International Conference for Small Island Developing State, taking place in Antigua and Barbuda from 27-30 May 2024.

This event provided a platform for governments and experts in disaster management from China, Japan, Korea, ASEAN and other Asia-Pacific countries to share challenges, best practices, and exchange ideas on possible cooperation among various stakeholders.

This session has been developed to align with the thematic area of the conference, Levering Data and Digital Technologies and Building effective Institutions for a Resilient Future in SIDS.

The G20 DRR Working Group, in collaboration with the Brazilian Presidency, hosted a virtual side event focusing on leveraging cell broadcast dissemination for early warning systems.
